Focus Friday
BLOG + VLOG of AUTUMN THEODORE PHOTOGRAPHY
In 2017, I started describing myself as a "commercial photographer," since I knew that was the focus I wanted to take. Working with businesses is my favorite since I love photographing events, headshots, products, and especially brand photography.
In 2018, I'll begin to focus more on two specific types of clients: large businesses with 50+ employees, as well as small businesses with at least 3 years of success in business. In 2017, I traveled to Asheville, Nashville, and Boston - three cities I had never visited before. These trips were fun and inspired me in my work. In 2018, I will plan to visit three new cities to inspire me even further. (Any recommendations?) In 2017, during a winter project, I taught myself 20 new photography techniques in 20 days. Most of it had to do with studio lighting and flash photography. Little did I know that this "for fun" work would lead to a gallery show as well as being featured at Wonderball in 2018. In 2018, I commit to another learning project this winter. (Still thinking about what I want it to be...) In 2017, I spent over 20 hours doing pro bono photography work for three local businesses that help others in our community. In 2018, I will announce the 2018 recipients as well as commit to continuing this work for years to come. In 2017, I started writing this blog...and have gotten feedback that's more amazing than I could have ever imagined! In 2018, I commit to 52 more blog posts. See you every Friday :) Happy Friday! Autumn

Autumn, great to see your 2018 goals. As you know, putting them in writing makes them much more likely to be achieved. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Uncle Bob

I’m so glad you enjoy the blog! I actually have been to New York, but it would be a great idea to return to be inspired! Also, you should head there next year and let me know what you think! Happy holidays, and thanks again! (Also, your name is really beautiful!)

I like how you took an actionable item in 2017 and put a different spin for 2018. I would suggest a couple of cities I think you would find inspirational - if you haven't been. Seattle, WA and San Antonio, TX
