Focus Friday
BLOG + VLOG of AUTUMN THEODORE PHOTOGRAPHY
Sometimes it's hard to actually show how budgets effect photo and video production value. In this example, Sandwich Video was asked to create three separate campaign videos about the same product - each on separate budgets of $1,000, $10,000, and $100,000. While I don't do video, I found this to be a really helpful explanation of how a budget impacts what we (as creatives) are able to accomplish for our clients. Can you tell the difference? I found these videos to be extremely helpful. What do you think? Happy Friday! Autumn

This video is for people who are new to photography and feel like it takes an overwhelming amount of time to edit photos. Or maybe it's for people who aren't newbies, but feel like they want to know how to reduce post-processing time. I wrote a post about what I am "fixing"when I edit photos, but I thought it would be even more helpful to SHOW you! Today, I'm sharing a screen recording of me doing my work in Lightroom. Happy Friday!
Autumn An image is blurry. But you were trying to hold the camera so still. Why? WHYYYYYYY? Let me help! Happy Friday! Autumn Yes, I wrote about this before, but I wanted to show you how to quickly get better hair for your headshot in a video! Happy Friday! Autumn Don't want to spend money on a reflector? Here's how to make one at home - for free! Apologies for the video quality - I wanted to take a helpful clip from another video I recently made for a workshop! :) Also, I shared some additional reflector tips for portraits in another blog post. Happy Friday! Autumn Is there a certain "side" of your face that looks better for a portrait? Watch my new video to find out! Happy Friday! Autumn Ever wonder what the difference is between a speedlight and a strobe? Each is a type of flash that could be used for various purposes. A tiny intro is featured on today's PhotoVlog! As always, if you have any questions, feel free to comment below or shoot me an email! Happy Friday! Autumn Gels are used with flash to add color to photos - think of it like a filter. Today, I'll explain how simple it is to start getting creative with color! Links, as promised!
(If you're just getting started with flash, check out this video first.) Happy Friday!
Autumn If you're indoors and feel like you can't get great natural lighting, head to a window and use a reflector - no flash involved! Reflectors make a HUGE difference - and are a relatively low-cost way to achieve lighting needs. If you're looking for a reflector, you've got options!
A big thanks to Megan (owner of Makers Social) for being a model and helping create the video. :) If I can answer any questions, feel free to email me or comment below! Happy Friday! Autumn |
