Holiday Photography Gift Ideas

Happy Black Friday!

Whether you shop today or not, you'll likely be purchasing gifts for the special people in your lives over the next few weeks.

If one of those people has an interest in photography, here are some ideas!

• DSLR camera
  If you'd like to buy someone a really nice, but still intro-level camera, consider a Canon Rebel T6. Or grab a refurbished version and save nearly $200.
• 50mm lens
  First of all, make sure you're purchasing a lens that matches their DSLR camera. This lens is a recommendation that I feel very strongly about...here's why.
• Tripod
  ​If you know someone who likes to take outdoor photos (especially ones where you can see traffic moving at night), they need a tripod. If they don't have one, check out these.
• Photo vacation
  When I travel, I LOVE to take candid photos of other travelers and also night photos in big cities. Depending on what they like, consider travel as a gift! Warning: patience required. :)
• Private photography lesson
  Lots of people are super interested in photography, and would benefit from a lesson so they can learn more about using their DSLR. Email me if you'd like to purchase a gift certificate!

1. I am a Canon shooter, so that's why you'll find most of my recommendations to be for Canon products. If you're looking for a different brand, I won't be offended. :)
