Pro Bono Photography Project
Shortly after the 2016 election, I chose to take my negative emotions and turn them into positive action. I asked local organizations to apply for pro bono photography. My only request? Be an organization that helps a group in need. (Ex. minorities, women, the homeless, etc.)
To ensure an unbiased selection of recipients, I was not part of the selection process. A three-person panel reviewed applications and made final decisions in December. Shortly after, I announced the three recipients: Columbus Early Learning Centers, Aunt Flow, and Neighborhood Services Inc.
I'm proud and excited to help these organizations serve Central Ohio by donating over 16 hours of photography work (valued at over $3,000). Quality photos are a small part of an organization's marketing needs, but if they help bring in donors, customers, and community interest, they're a sound investment of time and resources.
