Not everyone likes to have their photo taken...including me.
It's probably not surprising that I'm much more comfortable on my side of the camera - the other side, with the lens, can be terrifying.
Here's what I've learned:
Experience: I felt awkward. I didn't know how to pose or where to look or what to do with my hands. Lesson: learn how to make people feel comfortable and guide them.
Experience: I've worked with friends who are amazing photographers - but that didn't make me feel less awkward. Lesson: I may be taking a photo of someone I'm close to, but they could still feel uncomfortable, and that's ok. It's probably not personal.
